Webelio ESS is an employee self-service (ESS) app. Accounts are created and issued to employees by their employer (your organization), not by the public. We process your data on your employer's behalf so they can run attendance, leave, and payroll.

This Privacy Policy explains how SEDAWK DYNAMICS PVT LTD (operator of the Webelio platform; "we", "us") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use the Webelio ESS mobile application (the "App"). By using the App you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect information your employer provides when they onboard you, and information generated as you use the App:

  • Identity & contact: name, employee code, email, phone number, date of birth, gender, and father's/guardian name.
  • Government & tax identifiers: PAN, Aadhaar, UAN, PF/ESI numbers, and tax declaration details, used for statutory payroll compliance in India.
  • Financial information: salary and payslip details, reimbursements, loans/advances, and bank account details used to pay your salary.
  • Attendance & precise location: when you check in, the App uses your device's precise location to verify you are at your assigned work site. Location is captured only at the moment of check-in (foreground) and is not tracked in the background.
  • Documents & images: photos or files you attach (for example, reimbursement bills), captured via your camera or photo library.
  • Device & notification data: a push-notification token so we can deliver alerts (leave approvals, payslip ready, etc.), and basic device/app information.
  • Biometrics (on-device only): if you enable app lock, Face ID / fingerprint verification is performed by your device's operating system. We never receive or store your biometric data.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide attendance, leave, payroll, and self-service features.
  • To verify work-site attendance at check-in.
  • To calculate salary and meet Indian statutory obligations (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, etc.).
  • To send you operational notifications about your requests and pay.
  • To secure the App and prevent misuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

3. How your information is shared

  • Your employer is the controller of your employment data and can access it through their HR administration console.
  • Service providers that operate the platform on our behalf — including cloud hosting, file storage, and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications — under confidentiality obligations.
  • Government / statutory bodies where required for payroll compliance, or where required by law.

4. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your organization uses the service and as required by applicable tax, labour, and statutory record-keeping laws. When retention is no longer required, data is deleted or anonymized. See Your rights below to request deletion.

5. Data security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Sensitive identifiers such as bank account and Aadhaar numbers are encrypted at rest. Access is restricted to authorized personnel of your organization and our operators.

6. Your rights

Subject to your employer's legal record-keeping obligations, you may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Because much of this data is your employment record, some requests are fulfilled together with your employer.

7. Children

The App is intended for employed individuals and is not directed to children under 18.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
